Geschichte des Kostüms
Adolf Rosenberg's Geschichte des Kostüms, a multi-volume survey of European dress continued by Eduard Heyck and issued in New York by Weyhe in 1905, made for costume historians, artists and theatre designers. Line drawings and tonal plates show figures in full from front and back, grouped to compare silhouettes, with close attention to ruffs, farthingales, embroidery and armour detail.
