Geschichte des Kostüms
A German costume history by art historian Adolf Rosenberg, continued by Eduard Heyck, issued in 1905 by Weyhe in New York for students of dress, artists, and theatre designers. The plates line up full-length figures against blank ground in hand-coloured lithography, showing Scandinavian, Balkan, Iberian and Slavic peasant dress with embroidery bands, aprons, headscarves, boots and tools, useful for figure silhouettes, pattern motifs and flat colour palettes.
