Gilbert light experiments for boys
A 1920 instruction manual of light experiments written by Carleton J. Lynde for the A.C. Gilbert Company of New Haven, sold with toy science sets to American boys. The illustrations are hard-edged line and stipple engravings, such as a searchlight crew sweeping a beam across a dark harbor, giving strong black grounds, radiating light cones and simple apparatus diagrams.
