Osvald Sirén's 1908 German monograph on the fourteenth-century Florentine painter Giottino, published in Leipzig by Klinkhardt & Biermann for art historians and connoisseurs. Halftone plates reproduce frescoes and panels: enthroned Virgins, blessing Christ under painted Gothic canopies, kneeling bishops and friars, and rows of haloed heads, with soft grey tonal range and visible plaster damage.
