Glass
Edward Dillon's 1907 survey of glass, published in London by Methuen and in New York by Putnam for collectors, museum visitors and students of the decorative arts. Seventy-eight halftone plates photograph vessels against plain grounds: Roman and Islamic beakers, Venetian stemware, enamelled and diamond-engraved German goblets, with strong raking light that turns cut and trailed ornament into legible line and shadow.
