Gli atti e monumenti de' fratelli Arvali : scolpiti già in tavole di marmo ed ora raccolti diciferati e comentati
Luigi Gaetano Marini's 1795 Roman study of the Fratres Arvali, published by Antonio Fulgoni, transcribes and annotates the marble tablets recording the Arval Brethren's rites for antiquarians and Latin epigraphers. The forty engravings are facsimiles of inscribed stone: dense Roman capitals and later irregular letterforms set on broken slabs with ruled hatching, chipped edges and shaded ground, usable as letterform references, texture plates and fragment silhouettes.
