Godey's lady's book
Godey's Lady's Book was a monthly American women's magazine issued by Louis A. Godey in Philadelphia from 1830, mixing fiction, fashion plates, and needlework patterns for a middle-class female readership. The plates here are outline embroidery transfers: floral initial letters, scrolling leaf sprays, and banded borders drawn in open line with hatched shading, ready to redraw as monograms, frames, or repeating ornament.
