The Gould-en treasury
A collection of political caricatures by Francis Carruthers Gould, the Westminster Gazette's staff cartoonist, published in London in 1906 for readers following British party politics. The drawings are brush-and-pen figure studies in solid black line, with hatched shading, cast shadows and exaggerated heads on small bodies — useful for silhouette figures, comic character poses and hand-lettered monograms.
