Greek vases
A 1911 catalogue of Greek vases in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, compiled by Campbell Cowan Edgar for the Service des Antiquités and printed by the Institut français d'archéologie orientale for archaeologists and museum staff. Plates are halftone photographs of single pots against plain grounds, plus line drawings of painted scenes: hydriai and amphorae with ivy and laurel bands, meander friezes, lotus-bud chains, and silhouetted animals usable as vessel profiles, border patterns, and figure motifs.
