The chemistry of paints and painting
A chemist's handbook on pigments, media and artists' materials, written by Arthur Herbert Church and published in London by Seeley in 1892 for painters, restorers and colourmen. The scanned pages are largely blank endleaves and flyleaves in warm cream stock; the one marked image is an engraved colourman's label for Newman, with a plumed coronet, slab-serif capitals and rules ending in small diamond ornaments.
