Storia della pittura in Italia dal secolo II al secolo XVI
Italian edition of Crowe and Cavalcaselle's survey of Italian painting from the second to the sixteenth century, translated with notes by Alfredo Mazza and published by Le Monnier in Florence in 1883 for scholars and connoisseurs. The plates sampled here are blank leaves and flyleaves, showing cream and grey laid paper with foxing spots, faint ruled shadows and dark binding edges usable as scanned backgrounds and textures.
