Alfredo Mazza's Italian edition of Crowe and Cavalcaselle's survey of Italian painting from the second to the sixteenth century, issued by Le Monnier in Florence in 1883 for scholars, connoisseurs and collectors. The plates scanned here are largely blank leaves and tinted endpapers, with wood-engraved outline copies after frescoes and panels and facsimiles of painters' signatures; useful for paper textures, foxing and page grounds.
