Giotto and some of his followers
An art-historical study of Giotto and his circle by Swedish scholar Osvald Sirén, published in 1917 by Harvard University Press for scholars and connoisseurs of Italian painting. The 279 halftone plates reproduce frescoes and panels in soft grey tones: haloed figures under round arches, inlaid Cosmatesque floors, painted architecture, and drapery folds usable as pattern and figure source material.
