Views of the seats of noblemen and gentlemen, in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland
A topographical picture series by draughtsman John Preston Neale, issued in London in 1820 by Sherwood, Neely, and Jones with Thomas Moule, recording country seats of noblemen and gentlemen across England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland for subscribers and antiquarians. The steel engravings set each house broadside in parkland, with massed trees, open sky, lawns, grazing cattle and small figures; useful for architectural elevations, engraved captions and landscape backgrounds.
