Ḥad gadya
El Lissitzky's lithographed picture book of the Yiddish Passover chant Ḥad gadya, issued in 1919 by the Kultur-Lige in Kiev for Jewish children. The plates work in flat pink and grey triangular planes with grainy, sprayed tonal gradients and small stepped motifs on cream stock, useful for geometric cover layouts, diagonal compositions, and mottled avant-garde textures.
