A German survey of national tastes in interior decoration and architecture, written by Joseph Friedrich von Racknitz with plates drawn by Christian Friedrich Schuricht and engraved by Veith and Darnstedt, published in Leipzig in 1796 for architects and wealthy patrons. Line engravings set Egyptian, Gothic, Chinese, Turkish and antique-Roman structures in landscaped grounds, supplying ornament panels, garden pavilions, ruin fragments and framed plate borders.
