Le gemme antiche di Anton-Maria Zanetti di Girolamo
A catalogue of the antique engraved gems owned by the Venetian collector and connoisseur Anton Maria Zanetti, compiled by the Florentine antiquary Antonio Francesco Gori and printed in Venice by Giambattista Albrizzi in 1750 for collectors and students of antiquity. Each numbered plate centres one oval intaglio or cameo, modelled in fine grey line against a ruled hatched ground inside nested rectangular borders, with the subject named in a small tablet below \u2014 a supply of medallion portraits, single nude and seated figures, and ready-made frame-and-label arrangements.
