Rudolf Erich Raspe's two-volume catalogue of James Tassie's casts of ancient and modern engraved gems, printed in London in 1791 in English and French for collectors, dealers and antiquarian scholars. The indexed images are the volumes' covers and endpapers: dense Turkish-style marbled paper in olive, ochre and black, with ringed cells and veined channels, plus a worn blue-green marbled board with leather spine and shelf labels — usable as tiled backgrounds, cover stock or texture fills.
