Due trattati di Benvenuto Cellini, scultore fiorentino : uno dell'oreficeria, l'altro della scultura
Benvenuto Cellini's two treatises on goldsmithing and sculpture, written in the 1560s and printed in Florence in 1731 by the Tartini and Franchi press for artists, craftsmen and collectors of Italian art writing. The scans are mostly blank laid-paper leaves broken by letterpress ornament: symmetrical woodcut headpieces and tailpieces of scrolling foliage, beaded swags and curling volutes, useful as printer's flourishes and rules.
