L'Etruria pittrice, ovvero, Storia della pittura toscana, dedotta dai suoi monumenti che si esibiscono in stampa dal secolo X. fino al presente
A two-volume survey of Tuscan painting from the tenth century onward, compiled by the Florentine priest and antiquary Marco Lastri and issued by the printer-publishers Niccolò Pagni and Giuseppe Bardi in Florence in 1791 for collectors and students of art history. The 137 plates are reproductive engravings after paintings, printed sideways on the page with wide margins and engraved captions: half-length and seated figure groups, Holy Families, mothers with infants, heavy drapery and arched niches, rendered in fine tonal hatching useful for greyscale figure studies and framed vignettes.
