Luigi Canina's three-section survey of ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman architecture, issued in Rome in 1830 from his own press for architects, antiquarians and students of classical building. The plates are engraved measured drawings — temple ground plans filled with grey wash, pylon facades, longitudinal sections and separate studies of lotus and palm capitals — each with scale bars, Roman plate numbers and engraved Italian captions, useful as line-work diagrams and repeating column motifs.
