A drawing manual issued by John and Carington Bowles in London in 1764, compiling copperplate exercises after Dürer, Bloemaert, Le Clerc, Hollar and others for young students learning to draw. Plates group several small etched scenes per sheet — landscapes with ruins and trees, seated and reclining figures, cattle — alongside progressive studies of heads, hands and limbs, useful as line-drawing vignettes and figure reference; several leaves in this copy are blank versos showing only faint offset.
