A German drawing manual for beginners by Friedrich Herzberg, engraved by Gustav Georg Endner and published by Wilhelm Gottlieb Korn in Breslau in 1780. Red-chalk-toned plates build the face in stages: numbered brow strokes, a bare oval head with alignment lines, then eyes, noses and mouths in light hatching, useful as construction diagrams and facial-feature spot art.
