A Latin-Italian handbook on ancient coins and medals by the Jesuit scholar Francescantonio Zaccaria, printed in Rome by Giovanni Zempel for bookseller Venanzio Monaldini in 1772 for antiquarians and collectors. The pictures are small letterpress woodcut headpieces and tailpieces: symmetrical scrollwork, cross-hatched cartouches, flower baskets, leafy sprays, radiant sun faces and putto heads, usable as rules, dividers and spot ornaments.
