De la distribution des maisons de plaisance, et de la decoration des edifices en general
A two-volume engraved architectural treatise by Jacques-François Blondel on the planning of French country houses and the decoration of buildings, published in Paris by Charles-Antoine Jombert in 1737 with plates cut by Cochin and Soubeyran for architects, builders and patrons. Plates give plans, elevations and sections plus panelled wall elevations, chimneypieces, mirror surrounds, cartouches and parterre layouts; several leaves are blank plate versos showing faint offset. Useful for rococo panel frames, ornament borders and measured garden geometry.
