Views of the seats of noblemen and gentlemen, in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland
A topographical plate series by draughtsman John Preston Neale, issued in London in 1820 by Sherwood, Neely, and Jones with Thomas Moule, cataloguing the country seats of British and Irish landowners for subscribers and antiquarians. Each steel-engraved plate sets a hall or mansion in a wide landscape with lawns, specimen trees, cattle and tiny figures, framed by ruled borders and engraved captions; useful for architectural elevations, parkland scenery, sky tonality and period title lettering.
