Matthew Digby Wyatt's 1852 survey of historic metalwork, issued in London by the chromolithographers Day & Son for architects, manufacturers and ornamental designers of the early industrial trade. Plates record wrought and cast ironwork, enamelled panels and door furniture as flat measured studies: hinge straps with scrolling foliate branches, pierced grille bands, repeating leaf-and-tendril fields, and small cast bosses drawn in pale outline.
