Novus thesaurus antiquitatum romanarum
A three-volume Latin compendium of Roman antiquities assembled by Albert-Henri de Sallengre and issued at Venice in 1735 by the press of Giovanni Battista Pasquali, addressed to classical scholars and antiquarian collectors. The plates run to engraved title vignettes, scrolled headpiece cartouches, armored figures crowned with coronets, and trophies of arms with eagles, standards, axes and shields, plus faint show-through pages where an allegorical frontispiece bleeds across blank leaves.
