L'osservatore fiorentino sugli edifizj della sua patria
A multi-volume topographical account of Florence's buildings by the priest and historian Marco Lastri, revised by the architect Giuseppe Del Rosso and printed by Gaspero Ricci in Florence in 1821 for local antiquarians and travellers. The pages sampled here are blank versos and guard leaves carrying faint brown offset from the copperplates opposite, useful as aged paper grounds, ghosted line textures, and evidence of plate marks and shelf marks rather than as finished architectural views.
