Catalogue of an exhibition of paintings and sculpture from the Luxembourg Museum, Paris, of objects of decorative art from Mobilier National, the Gobelins and the Sèvres manufactories, of paintings, sculpture, and prints by contributing French and Belgian artists : forming the art collection exhibited by the French government at the Panama-Pacific Exposition, 1915
An exhibition catalogue issued by the Brooklyn Museum in 1918 for the French government's art collection — Luxembourg Museum paintings and sculpture, Mobilier National furnishings, Gobelins tapestries and Sèvres wares — shown at the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco and afterward in Brooklyn, aimed at museum visitors and collectors. The plates are coarse-screen halftones of paintings, sculpture, and woven hangings: murky tonal figure groups with faces emerging from black grounds, and tapestries framed by dense floral borders and lettered cartouches usable as ornamental frames and caption panels.
