A grammar of colouring : applied to decorative painting and the arts
A technical handbook on colour for decorative painters and art students, George Field's treatise revised by Ellis A. Davidson and issued by C. Lockwood in London in 1896. The plates are uncoloured outline engravings of ornament for copying and tinting practice: acanthus scrolls with rosettes, anthemion and palmette borders, a shell cartouche, and a foliate capital, all usable as clean vector-ready line stock.
