Historische Bilder-Bibel : welche besteht in Fünff Theill
A five-part illustrated Bible engraved and published by Johann Ulrich Krauss in Augsburg around 1700, sold to German Protestant readers as a picture-Bible of Old and New Testament scenes. Each plate sets small biblical narratives inside elaborate acanthus cartouches with herms, trophies, masks, garlands and blank scroll panels, giving designers ready-made frames, borders and vignette compartments.
