A folio survey of historical ornament compiled by architect and designer Owen Jones with contributions from Waring, Westwood and Digby Wyatt, published in London by Bernard Quaritch in 1868 for architects, manufacturers and design students. The plates are chromolithographed flat pattern studies grouped by culture and period \u2014 Egyptian, Moorish, Byzantine, Celtic, Renaissance \u2014 offering repeat borders, numbered motif keys, interlaced arabesques and foliate scroll panels in limited flat colour palettes.
