Manual of the science of colour, on the true theory of the colour-sensations, and the natural system : with a coloured frontispiece and other illustrations
A colour-theory manual by William Benson, published by Chapman & Hall in London in 1871, setting out his cube model of the colour sensations for artists, dyers and students of optics. White line diagrams on solid black grounds show prisms, light rays and lettered cube geometry, alongside a tinted plate of the colour-cube as two stacked lattices of soft watercolour dots.
