A printed edition of the lectures given at the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1667, compiled by André Félibien and issued in Paris by Frédéric Léonard in 1669 for academicians and artists. The plates are woodcut headpiece bands of scrolling flowers, thistles and foliage flanking an oval cartouche with the crowned French arms, usable as rules, borders and crests.
