A catalogue of the engraved gems of Baron Philipp von Stosch, written by Johann Joachim Winckelmann and printed in Florence by Andrea Bonducci in 1760 for antiquarians and collectors, with plates after the Preissler brothers. The pictures here are woodcut and engraved headpieces and ornaments: symmetrical scrollwork bands with acanthus foliage and urns of flowers, and a trophy cartouche of musical instruments, usable as rules, chapter headers and small frames.
