Gedanken über Stil in der Baukunst
Architectural theory by Dutch architect H. P. Berlage, published in Leipzig by Julius Zeitler in 1905 for architects and students debating style and structure. The plates are dense pen-and-ink views of Berlage's own brick buildings — Amsterdam Exchange courtyard, diamond workers' union house, stairwells — hatched line throughout, each framed and captioned in spaced capitals usable as lettering models.
