Pratique de la geometrie sur le papier et sur le terrain : avec un nouvel ordre & une methode particuliere
A practical geometry manual by the engraver Sébastien Le Clerc, published in Paris in 1669 for surveyors, draughtsmen and students working on paper and in the field. Each copperplate sets a lettered diagram—pentagons, arcs, bisected lines, dotted construction curves—above a small etched landscape of houses, ruins, rocky coasts and figures with measuring rods, giving designers diagram-plus-vignette pairings and fine hatched scenery.
