Varia conmensuracion para le escultura y arquitectura
A Spanish treatise on proportion for sculptors, silversmiths and architects by Juan de Arfe y Villafañe, reissued in Madrid in 1675 for craftsmen learning to measure figures and buildings. Woodcuts set the human torso and limbs inside ruled grids, stack compass-drawn polygons and circles, and lay out fortress plans and a columned arch in elevation, with numbered margins and letterpress showing through.
