Theo van Doesburg's 1925 treatise on Neo-Plasticism, issued in German as volume six of the Bauhausbücher in Munich for artists, architects and design students. The plates are halftone reproductions on white grounds — flat black-and-grey geometric compositions, rectangle grids, a stone-bound portrait bust, and an old-master landscape printed sideways with captions — usable for hard-edged abstract shapes, plate grids and numbered figure labels.
