Grundriss und Atlas der allgemeinen Chirurgie
A German handbook and atlas of general surgery by Georg Marwedel, published in Munich by Lehmann in 1905 for medical students and practising surgeons. The plates are coarse-screen halftone clinical photographs and radiographs — tumours, abscesses, deformed hands and limbs — cropped tight and silhouetted against blank paper, useful for their dot texture, heavy tonal grain and isolated body shapes.
