Gruppierungsversuche im Bereiche des ältesten Holzschnittes
A German art-historical study by Wilhelm Molsdorf, published in Strassburg by J.H.E. Heitz in 1911, sorting the earliest fifteenth-century woodcuts into groups for scholars and print collectors. The plates are line facsimiles and tracings: haloed heads in circles, drawn with thick uneven contours and combed hatching for hair, plus gridded multi-panel religious scenes of Nativity, Annunciation and martyrdoms; useful for coarse outline faces, nimbus roundels and panel grids.
