An Italian-language guidebook to Padua and its surroundings, written by the architect and art historian Pietro Selvatico and published by F. Sacchetto in Padua in 1869 for travellers and local antiquarians. The wood engravings record buildings and their details in outline with dense hatched shadow: Gothic arcaded loggias, traceried windows with carved heads, pointed wall tombs on corbels, and colonnaded balconies, useful as architectural ornament and period building stock.
