A guide to pictorial perspective : with numerous illustrations
A drawing manual on pictorial perspective by the London watercolourist Benjamin Richard Green, published by George Rowney and Co. in 1851 for art students and amateur landscape painters. The plates pair carefully shaded objects — a tufted sofa, cottages, a castellated tower, a chessboard, packing crates, balustraded stairs — with ruled horizon lines, vanishing points and labels, giving designers ready-made diagram overlays and isolated line-drawn furniture and buildings.
