A survey of Egyptian art by the French Egyptologist Gaston Maspero, published in Paris by Hachette in 1912 for students and general readers of art history. The 509 halftone plates photograph statues, reliefs, wall paintings and architecture against plain dark grounds, giving usable silhouettes of standing figures, crowns, hieroglyphic panels and profile portraits.
