Half-hour lectures on the history and practice of the fine and ornamental arts
A survey of art and ornament history by the Scottish painter and poet William Bell Scott, with wood engravings by W. J. Linton, issued in New York by Scribner, Welford & Armstrong in 1875 for art students and general readers. The line cuts record carved stone, tracery, metalwork and manuscript roundels: interlaced foliate bands, cusped quatrefoils, incised Pictish figures, and usable outline ornament.
