A photographic survey of colonial and provincial New England buildings dated 1628-1775, compiled and issued by William H. Halliday in Boston in 1894 for antiquarians, architects and local historians. The albumen prints are plain frontal and corner views of clapboard and brick houses, shuttered windows, shopfronts with awnings, brick sidewalks and bare or leafy street trees, with occasional small figures standing at doorways; useful for period architectural detail, street textures and warm sepia tonal range.
