A handbook of elementary sewing
A 1915 sewing manual by Etta Proctor Flagg, published by Little, Brown in Boston for schoolteachers and beginning pupils learning basic stitches and garment construction. Line drawings show needles drawn through cloth with trailing thread, stitch types rendered as dashes and zigzags on ruled edges, and numbered pattern diagrams labelled in inches with hatched selvages and fold lines.
