A handbook of Greek and Roman sculpture
A survey handbook of Greek and Roman sculpture written by Edmund von Mach and published in Boston in 1905 by the Bureau of University Travel, for students and travellers studying antiquities. The plates are halftone photographs of marble reliefs and figures, often broken, lit against black grounds, useful for drapery folds, contorted seated and fallen bodies, and heavily grained monochrome texture.
