A Handbook of Greek and Roman sculpture : to accompany a collection of reproductions of Greek and Roman sculpture
A study handbook by Edmund von Mach, published in Boston in 1905 by the Bureau of University Travel to accompany a set of University Prints reproductions, written for students and travelers studying classical art. The plates are halftone photographs of Greek and Roman marbles set two to a page against black grounds: draped and nude figures, headless torsos, relief slabs from temple friezes, and battered fragments, useful for silhouettes, high-contrast figure cutouts, and carved drapery texture.
